Whitehouse Square Senior Village is a 44 unit, senior development located in the rapidly growing Village of Whitehouse, in Lucas County. The project is owned by a Limited Liability Company including MV Residential Development and Preferred Properties, Inc. the local not-for-profit managing partner.
The 7.0 acre site offers two bedroom, 1.5 bath apartments with 947 square feet of living area and attached garage. Other amenities include ample storage, covered front porch, rear patio, walk-in closets, fully equipped kitchens, security systems, and universal designs. Also to note, 10% of the units are fully accessible. A community clubhouse with an on-site management office is located in the site’s central park area that contains a fishing pond, nature walk, picnic shelter, badminton court and other amenities.
The development includes a host of supportive services and other amenities that make it attractive to seniors. Whitehouse Square Senior Village was developed at a cost of over $7 million with equity from Housing Tax Credits, Housing Development Assistance Program funds from the Ohio Housing Finance Agency, and Rural Development Program funding. Preferred Properties coordinates supportive services through the Area Office on Aging of Northwest Ohio.
