The Willard Apartments

The Willard Apartments is a 15-unit development located in the Ottawa Park community, near the historic Westmoreland Toledo neighborhood. The three-story walk up building has 14 two-bedroom apartments and 1 one-bedroom apartment, with 20% of the units set aside for persons with disabilities.. The building was scheduled for demolition by the City of Toledo in 1998. A partnership of private developers and Preferred Properties, Inc. secured a reservation of tax credits and combined grants from the City of Toledo with private financing to complete a $1.2 million renovation of the building. Today, the Willard Apartments is an outstanding example of urban revitalization. The spacious apartments provide affordable housing for persons who prefer an urban residential setting.
